Captain Works LTD (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Link Grabber browser extension and our website link-grabber.com (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Core Principles

Link Grabber is a productivity tool designed to help you collect, review, filter, and export links from web pages.

• Local Processing: The core functionality of the extension (link extraction, filtering, copying) happens entirely locally on your device.
• No Data Selling: We do not sell your personal data.
• No Browsing Hijacking: We do not hijack your browsing history, inject unrelated ads, or monitor pages outside of the workflows you explicitly initiate.

2. What Information We Access and Why

To provide its core features, Link Grabber may access:

• Website Content: Links and related text on pages you explicitly choose to process. This data is processed locally to extract the links you requested.
• Browsing Activity: Page URLs and tab titles for tabs you include in a workflow (for example, multi-tab collection, or crawler seed pages).
• Bookmarks Information: Accessed only if you explicitly choose an action that saves your extracted links to your browser bookmarks.

We do NOT transmit the contents of the websites you visit or the lists of links you extract to our servers for core link-processing workflows.

3. What is Stored on Your Device

The extension uses your browser's built-in storage (local and sync) to keep:

• Your settings and UI preferences.
• Collected link results temporarily while you are working with them.
• A random analytics client ID (if telemetry is enabled).
• If you sign in for optional paid features (Chrome Web Store builds with monetization enabled), authentication session data from the subscription provider may also be stored locally.

We do not store your full browsing history inside the extension. Clearing the extension's local storage or uninstalling it will remove this data.

4. Third-Party Services and Telemetry

We use limited third-party services for product stability, feature usage measurement, and—where applicable—optional subscription features.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use GA4 for basic product telemetry.

• What is collected: Event names (e.g., clicking "Copy", "Export", or encountering an error), interaction counts, and anonymous client identifiers.
• For certain technical events, we also collect the page_location (the URL where the extension was used).
• Why we collect it: All the events including the page_location parameter are used strictly for debugging purposes and improving the extension's extraction logic on popular websites.
• Anonymization: This data is completely anonymized. We do not collect your IP address, name, or any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) alongside these events.

Subscription and Account Services (Chrome Web Store builds with optional paid features)

When you use optional paid features in the Chrome Web Store version of Link Grabber, we use a third-party subscription platform (Monetize.software) hosted at https://account.link-grabber.com to:

• check subscription access
• sign in or restore purchases
• manage billing through a customer portal
• open support for subscribed users

Data shared when you engage with these features:

• account email address
• authentication credentials or OAuth tokens (as you choose in the sign-in flow)
• subscription and entitlement status

Payment processing: Card and payment details are handled by Monetize's payment processors (e.g. Stipe, Paddle and so on). We do not store full payment card numbers in the extension.

Local storage: Session tokens may be stored in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) via the bundled SDK.

We do NOT send to Monetize: page HTML, extracted link lists, bookmark contents, or your browsing history outside the paywall/account flow.

Firebase Remote Config (Chrome Web Store builds with optional paid features)

We use Google Firebase Remote Config to fetch operational thresholds that control free plan limits. Our app sends configuration keys only — no page URLs, link lists, or other personally identifiable information from your link-processing workflows.

Store-specific note

• Chrome Web Store: May include optional paid plans via the services described above.
• Firefox, Safari, and other non-paywall builds: In-app payment and account components are not included for the momment. Those builds use GA4 and the core features described in Sections 2–3 only.

Limited Use

Our use of information received from Google APIs and other extension-related Google services adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Product telemetry (GA4 and Firebase Remote Config) is limited to measuring, maintaining, securing, and improving the disclosed single-purpose features of Link Grabber.

5. Website Usage

If you visit our homepage, blog, or support pages on link-grabber.com, standard website practices apply. We may collect basic analytics and use standard cookies to ensure the site functions correctly. Core link tools work without creating an account. Optional paid plans, account sign-in, and payment apply only if you choose to subscribe or restore a purchase; plan details and pricing are listed at link-grabber.com and in the Chrome Web Store listing.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.

7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted with the revised effective date. By continuing to use our services after the effective date, you agree to the updated Privacy Policy.
